Who can remember (no really, who?) that first outing to the Madcap theatre, on that cold St Patrick’s Day of 2006? With judges from the local literary illuminati, a well-fought contest was fought between a strong range of participants. After three structured rounds, it was won by the Kettle’s own head-boy Simon Edwards who, in gracious form, offered the title of winner to two female contenders, who would go on to headline an event together the next year.
